Very disappointing experience. My husband and I visited today, May 18, around 12:45 PM. A sales rep (I believe his name was Magesh) approached my husband—who I was standing right next to—greeted him, shook his hand, and carried on a full conversation with him while completely ignoring me. He asked my husband what he was looking for, despite me saying that I was the one considering options. I was the one actually looking to purchase a dining set, and my husband even tried to redirect the conversation by saying, “my wife’s looking for the table.” It’s frustrating and honestly upsetting to be dismissed like that, especially in this day and age. Please remind your team that women are just as capable of making purchasing decisions, and being overlooked like this comes across as outdated and sexist. I was the one planning to purchase this dining set. Like yes, we have money. Given the high prices, I expected a much better level of service. This kind of treatment reflects poor training and a lack of basic awareness. There are far better stores that value and respect all of their customers. Do better Ashley Homestore.
