I visited the Ashley store yesterday evening with the intention of purchasing a sofa. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory due to the behavior of one of the salespersons, Navy. Upon entering the store, I just inquired about the price of one specific sofa without even browsing entire store.However, when I mentioned that I needed to come back the next day with my wife to finalise the decision as i am bit confused , Navy’s response was shockingly unprofessional. He insulted me by suggesting that I should have brought my wife along initially if I wasn't capable of making a decision myself and not waste his time. As a customer, I felt deeply humiliated and disrespected by this remark. It was the first time I had encountered such rudeness in a retail setting. Contrary to Navy’s assumption, I had done my homework. I researched the products on their online store and had a specific model (Ashley Navi) in mind, which I came to see and test in person. I did not occupy excessive time or ask unnecessary questions nor made him browse through entire store. This experience has left me feeling insulted and disappointed. I did politely mention to the salesperson mentioning i felt very insulted, he just told “thank you” . I I urge the management at Ashley store to treat their customers with respect and courtesy, regardless of whether a purchase is made immediately or after thoughtful consideration.
