Where to begin. We bought 6 Breckington dining chairs and paid for white glove service. They were not protected during shipping. Upon arrival 2 were broken and after arguing with the delivery person they finally took 2 broken chairs back. Now is when the fun begins and we realize there are issues with the other chairs. I called my sales rep as the delivery was on the weekend and was brushed aside told to call customer care. I called customer care and was advised I could not get replacement chairs or return them I would need a service call. Keep in mind we purchased brand new chairs and got damaged chairs. Getting a repair person is another nightmare. You have to do all through a verual text as they will not take a phone call to assign a tech. They have no customer service and could care less about customer service. I paid good money for brand new chairs with white glove service and got damaged products. If your thinking of buying something from Ashley think twice!
The staffs are very nice and I thank you for Sadra who helped me to find the lovely bed, I hope I will like it and I am waiting for delivery . Thank you
Staff were professional and helpful, and the overall shopping experience was excellent.
I love modern bedroom that looks completely comfortable.
I simply was looking for a new mattress for my new townhouse. Then I find myself inside Ashley, it was late in the day and Swagoto came by to ask if I needed assistance. I didn’t feel like just a customer, he made me feel welcomed into the Ashley family. He helped me arrange a nice deal to get a bed frame I liked, a new base that would help with my snoring, and a new mattress! You know when you have an issue and need to call a guy and say you got a guy for that? I got a guy in Swagoto!
Today we went there to buy a mattress. The lady assisting us was very helpful. We were deciding between two options and asked her if she could give us 5 minutes to decide. She kindly said, “Please take your time.” Then suddenly another guy came over without a uniform — maybe he was the manager — and said, “Don’t sleep that way, man.” When I asked, “What’s that?”, he repeated, “Don’t sleep that way, it will hurt my back.” I said, “Okay,” and we left the store right away. It was really disappointing to see how he treated customers. I understand how difficult it is to work and make money, but if someone can’t control their emotions at the workplace, they should consider taking some time away or finding a role that suits them better. Respectful communication makes a big difference in customer experience.
i had a great experience at the Scarborough store, picking out a rug. Shopping with Sadra, the sales rep who helped me, felt like shopping with a friend.
Extremely frustrating experience with Ashley Furniture Scarborough from beginning to end. First, the store sold us a mirror, processed the payment, and then several days later informed us that the mirror was not actually for sale. We then chose a different mirror, the staff again approved the purchase, and once again we were later told that this mirror was also supposedly not for sale — despite employees AND supervisor AND manager originally agreeing to sell it to us. The entire situation showed a complete lack of organization and communication between staff and inventory management. On top of that, nobody informed us that the mirror had to be picked up separately because it was not part of their inventory system. By this point, we had already visited the Ashley Scarborough location at least three times and then had to make yet another trip just to pick it up ourselves. The delivery process for our table set was equally disappointing. We were given a delivery date, and I rearranged my work schedule to be available that day. At the last minute, the delivery never arrived because it had apparently never actually been scheduled. When I contacted the sales representative, I was told nothing was confirmed and that it was only an “estimated” date — even though another sales representative had scheduled the delivery in front of me while I was in the store picking up the mirror. When our table set was finally delivered, the items were not properly protected during transport, and 2 out of the 3 pieces arrived scratched and damaged. After all the delays, confusion, repeated trips to the store, and poor communication, receiving damaged furniture was the final disappointment. Overall, our experience with Ashley Furniture Scarborough was disorganized, unprofessional, and extremely inconvenient. The lack of communication, repeated misinformation, scheduling failures, and damaged products made this one of the worst retail experiences we’ve had. I would not recommend this location based on our experience. This is how they delivered my items: Update June 16, 2026 : I was contacted by Rose, I believe the store owner? -not sure. Great costumer service, took accountability and offered to replace my damaged furniture for new ones and a gift card. I was happy with her intervention until delivery day came. Same experience, again the furniture was mishandled and not covered (idk why the staff insists on sending furniture like this? but anyways). I just switched the smaller tables for the new ones (which had also been damaged but this time at least on the legs and isn't super visible), and this time the new larger table had a scratch too, so I just gave up. This was our last purchase.
