Great experience. No high pressure sales. Great customer service by Sophia and others. Store has nice layout. Great selection and prices. We went to 4 other furniture stores and came back here for our final purchase.
We visited Ashley Furniture Guelph this weekend and did not have the experience I expected. It started out great and the sales associate was very kind and helpful. However, it all began to feel a bit intense as we weren't in a position to buy that day and were just beginning our search for a new couch. The associate was drawing layouts, asking for photos and having other staff stop by to help. It wasn't bad and maybe that's the tailored experience someone wants however, for us we mostly wanted to just begin our research process. We also knew exactly what we were looking for and when the couch wasn't that I began to feel pressure to budge on my requirements to make that couch work. It was a very nice couch which we liked however once we received the quote it was almost double our budget and we had to compromise our layout to make it work. When we shared we weren't sure it would even fit the sales associate started really pushing us to buy now and then go home and measure as we'd have 48 hours to cancel. However, given that we also couldn't talk privately about the cost we were not comfortable with that solution. We said no and that we'd let him know if we wanted to order. We then began walking the other parts of the store. Within 10 minutes, the sales associate found us again and said signatures were needed for purchases so he highly recommended we just buy the couch and we can cancel if it doesn't fit to "save us a trip back to the store." Again, we had already said we weren't sure we wanted to purchase and since our kids were with us we wanted the chance to talk privately first. We explained we were heading out to take our kids for ice cream so if we talked and wanted to proceed it wasn't out of our way to come right back. He said okay and walked away. Then within a few minutes as we were halfway out the door he came running over AGAIN and asked if he gave us $5 would we buy him an ice cream. I was in utter shock. At this point I knew all of his endeavors were about the sale and not about us as customers. It was incredibly inappropriate and a very obvious tactic to ensure we would come back to the store which would give him a chance to continue pressuring us for the sale. I have never had an experience like this before. Earlier on he admitted he was new so I don't even fully blame him as it appeared he would return to the sales desk and be given another sales tactic from someone there to try and get us to say yes. If he's under a ton of pressure from management to sell then it's not entirely his fault. However, it has completely soured my experience of shopping at Ashley Furniture. We ended up going to Leon's where we were politely helped without any pushiness and got exactly the layout/size of couch we needed at less then 1/2 the cost. Unfortunately, it will be a long time before I am comfortable returning to an Ashley Furniture store.
I had an issue after a bed delivery that arrived damaged. Make sure that you report any damage within 48 hrs of delivery and/or that you would like a refund or else it takes a bit of time to get the issue resolved. Eventually I was contacted and was told the cost of the bed will be refunded which was the resolution I was hoping for. Thank you.
Oh my I think I have died and gone to heaven, this is the most comfortable recliner I have ever sat in, so soft and roomy.cosy to. The delivery guys were great to set it up took away the box very polite. Thank you
We had a great experience picking out our couch and front entrance bench from Ashley. Owen Collins was able to help us customize a couch that worked perfectly for our space. We needed it delivered to us quickly, we had it in our space and set up by the delivery workers in less than a week. We’re really happy with our purchase and will definitely be shopping at Ashley again!
I had a great experience searching for a bed frame and dresser for my daughter. I was met with a warm welcome and all questions I had were answered thoroughly. I searched multiple furniture stores comparing prices and quality. The Ashely furniture was much better quality yet their prices reflected market value. I am excited to receive the furniture I have purchased.

I spent an ungodly amount of time sleeping on a futon. Owen did a great job helping me find a new bed.
Great store to work with. Sales rep, Tanner, was extremely helpful. Delivery was fast and efficient. Love the texts as our shipment got closer.
