I purchased a GE top load washer in beginning of May 2020. I told the sales person it was for main floor I needed a quite machine. I also mentioned that I had a LG previously and it was good for main floor. She sold me GE top load and assured me it was a good machine and would be fine for main floor. It is the worst washing machine I have ever owned so loud and has a odour, also I have to use warm water not cold and a second rince to remove the soap residue. I contacted the Ashley store in Espanola afrer 2.5 weeks of use and reported the problems. I was instructed to call GE that they could do nothing. So obviously they do not know there product or stand behind their customers. I have had 2 technicians to look at the washer both said yes extremely loud and to use warm water and extra rince to remove soap residue also run bleach through once a week for the smell. Now does that seem like the way a new washer should be. NO. I have just spoken with GE again Oct. 21/20. They are sending a technician again to see why it will not rince proberly. The manager that I spoke with said this is known to be a loud machine and they cannot do anything regarding the problem other than send a technician. Also said that the store that sold the product will have a policy in place to return or replace product it is not up to GE. Bottom line I will never purchase or recommend another GE product or purchase anything at the Ashely Home Store in Espanola. They do not stand behind their product.
