We were misled by a sales associate named Heba when purchasing a carpet. She told us: “Try it at home, you don’t lose anything, if you don’t like it, you can return or exchange it.” I confirmed this with her again before paying, and she said yes. Two weeks later, after delivery, it didn’t fit our living room. When we called Ashley’s, they said carpets cannot be returned or exchanged. Customer service wasn’t helpful and simply said the associate was “mistaken.” Now we’re stuck with a $300 carpet that doesn’t work for our space. It’s one thing to push customers to buy something, it’s another thing for Heba to lie straight to our face twice about wrongful policy information just for the sake of commission.
This was our first time at Ashleys - we were pleasantly surprised! No pushy Sales Staff, a calm open showroom - well made furniture and accessories. We enjoyed expert advice from Heba, a great deal on the items we purchased and a fast timely checkout. We will be returning!
