I was happy with the service at this store. I actually haven't received my chair yet, so this review is for the sales staff.
I have patience for those working and doing their best within the constraints of a difficult system but my experience could have been way better. I didn't really want to shop at Ashley's again due to a negative experience with my last purchase there. But they happened to have the power decliner I liked best so I took my chances. First of all, I couldn't get the fair price I wanted. I was offered one price one day, then my car broke down and by the time I was able to return, the best price they could offer me was $100 more. Oh well. Prices can fluctuate but what bothered me was that everywhere else that sold the chair (outside Winnipeg, alas) was offering way less and they could not price-match. Even Ashley's own price in the USA translates to HALF as much when you convert that price into Canadian dollars. Some major price gouging is going on. Secondly, their delivery service is the most expensive and overpriced option among all the other furniture stores I looked at. Not only that, but the weird glitchy AI service their delivery runs on caused much confusion, delays and inconvenience. After about a month of two cancellations (wasting those days I freed entirely of other appointments) and one day of false notifications saying the delivery was on its way when it actually wasn't causing needless fuss, I finally got my chair. Now I can finally relax and recline and think nothing more of my troubles, right? WRONG. Because apparently even when you buy the most costly premium faux-leather, it's still gonna reek like chemicals and emit VOCs that impact my comfort and health for who knows how long. It's too heavy to move around and too wide to fit into another room to off-gas so even now that it's just sitting there unused, I'm still negatively impacted by it as the entire room fills with noxious fumes. NEVER AGAIN!

It would have been 5 stars except that delivery was not available when I wanted. Several deliveries over a couple of weeks. All the drivers were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, professional and fast.
