My wife and I had an incredible experience working with Lester Van Heer at Ashley Homestore - Wpg West. He’s a rare find in an industry where the customer experience so often suffers of feeling impersonal or aggressively sales-driven. Let’s be honest, furniture shopping often involves pushy sales tactics, vague answers, and salespeople more focused on their commission than actually helping you with what brought you into the market in the first place. Lester was the complete opposite. He was genuine, knowledgeable, and turned what’s usually an annoying process into a smooth - and even enjoyable - experience. Lester took the time to understand what we were looking for and gave thoughtful, honest guidance. But what really impressed us was how he supported his colleagues. We watched him step in to help others with tough questions, coordinate tasks, and lead by example - all while still giving us his full attention. That kind of leadership is hard to miss. So, the only thing that surprised us was finding out that Lester isn’t already the General Sales Manager of your store. With his leadership skills, exceptional customer focus, and ability to support his team, Ashley would be wise to recognize his potential. We’re excited to receive our new piece in our new home, and we’ll definitely be back to work with Lester again.
