The worst customer sevice I have ever had in my days of buying furniture ( I am 65 years old). It was at Salmon Arm Ashley's Home Store. I'm doing this in point form as the story is long. First I was led to believe I could pick up my sofa either at the warehouse in Vernon or in store the following Wed, ( the sofa was at the warehouse, I was told). I chose in store. My pick up date was on the receipt. Turns out it was not in Vernon or it was lost. Secondly I was told that it was coming from Alberta and would not be ready for my pick up date. Thirdly, when calling the store I had asked to speak to a manager, turns out it was customer care centre I spoke to. I was not informed that I was speaking to customer care, nor was I informed I was being recorded. Forthly, again I called and unknowly spoke with customer care in regards to free delivery because of all my inconviences. "Yes we can do that", I was told. A time and day was set up, with explaination that I would receive a text, stating a three hour leeway. By 2pm the set date for delivery, no text, no delivery. Called again, this time I spoke with my sale rep, he said we don't do that! I did evently pick up my sofa two weeks later (rouhghly). Fifthly, I went to speak to the general manager at the store and she was not in until the following week. I followed up (via phone call) with her in regards to what happened in this mess up. She told me she would investigate by getting the recorded phone calls and customer care information. So I trusted that she would do just that. It's been over a month and I have heard NOTHING! I have not faith it will happen. Just a note, I do not ever make a complaint unless it's justified. Buyers beware!
The product is great, exactly what we were wanting. The service, lack of communication, the mistakes made with promised delivery, cost us 8+ hours of driving to our delivery location, with a no show, TWICE. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. In this case, the 1-800 you call takes you to someone in Winnipeg, unfortunately no clue of what’s going on. The manager in the local store, Salmon Arm, was as helpful as possible and mentioned same communication issues. He suggested to go thru the store verses online. If I buy again, that’s the way to go
Zach was helpful and got us an excellent deal on our furniture purchase.
It was very informative getting fitted for a pillow
Great experience in the Salmon Arm BC store.
We went in looking for a mattress. We already stop at one store and Ashley was the second. The salesperson was good and we got what we were looking for. There was a sale on all the mattresses except the one we wanted. I asked why the same brand ones where dropped 300$ and not this one .He replied the one we wanted was their biggest sales outta them all .he did drop it $140 and said that is all he could do. He did throw in a free pillow but some of the other beds they threw in 2 because of the high price. Other then that he did a good job.
Please convey our thanks to Tina the store manager and her team at your salmon arm store for providing an excellent customer service experience The follow up with their service department after the purchase of the queen base was well taken care of in a timely manner Thank you
