Very pushy sales people falling us around not letting us look first before asking questions. I like to look and sit down on multi couches but this young lady wouldn’t give us space. I can understand being on the other side but not feet from me. My wife and I can’t enjoy ourselves or talk privately without someone being right there. Would never buy anything from Langley store again. I even made a comment with the manager but it seems he says that’s how they do it there. We went to other places and they leave u alone and if I see something I reach out. But not today at Ashley’s. Never again.
Buyer beware ! We shopped at the Langley location , although everyone seemed eager to help us and friendly I believe they just want to make a sale . We had purchased a sectional for our basement . On delivery day to our disappointment they were not able to fit the sectional through our “ standard door frame “ . So fine we were going to have to pick another couch . You only have 48 hours to choose another one so the next day we went back to Ashley’s Langley . The manager and same sales associate were there . They wanted to help us find a new couch but our options were now limited as has to pick a modular sectional so jt would fit. I wish this had been brought up to Begin with , obviously we measured the room to make sure it fit but didn’t think about the door . They are the sales people and should be asking these questions ( especially since a lot of people live in town homes and condos , which we don’t ) this is obviously not the first time something like this has happened . The other couch we liked that would fit was double the price as the one we originally got as the sale was over , they did not want to match the sales price and barely took off the price of the tax on the new couch . Once we seemed a little upset that this had happened and said we would rather get our money back attitudes changed . The manager got a little short with us saying we would lose our $220 deliver fee and 10 % . We thought this was ridiculous considering it’s not like we didn’t like the couch , we were stuck in the middle. Then everyone disappeared and we were left standing there . After much thought we had to give in unless we wanted to lose money for no reason and get the more expensive couch. Guess they won and got their commission because that’s all they are worried about . I would not recommend Ashley’s as they are just worried about $$ and once that changed they were out . I did call customer service and magically they gave us 10 % off which was better than nothing . I think the sales associates need to be more informed and make sure that the customer will be happy with the purchase rather than just trying to get a sale . ….
