I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service at Ashley Coquitlam. Before the sale, everything was perfect — friendly staff, fast responses, and full attention. But once the payment was made, the attitude completely changed. When issues came up regarding payment, instead of taking responsibility or offering support, I was told “it’s not our responsibility” and that I should contact Fairstone myself. This is unacceptable. As a customer, I made my purchase through Ashley — not through Fairstone. Passing customers around after the sale shows a lack of accountability and professionalism. Good customer service doesn’t end once the payment is processed. Unfortunately, in this case, it did. Very disappointing experience.
I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service at Ashley Coquitlam. My recent experience was frustrating and unprofessional from start to finish. When I asked for assistance regarding payment and process, I was told by an employee named Amir that “our job is only sales, not financial support.” This is completely unacceptable. Customer service does not end the moment a product is sold. Guiding customers through payment, answering questions, and providing basic support is part of any responsible business. This lack of accountability and unwillingness to help reflects very poorly on the store’s management and overall standards. Customers should not feel dismissed or left without answers after making a purchase decision. I strongly urge Ashley Coquitlam to properly train their staff and take customer support seriously, because this experience did not meet even the most basic expectations.
We had a great experience shopping at Ashley today thanks to Matin. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and attentive to our needs. He took the time to explain our options clearly and helped us make the best decision without any pressure. We truly appreciate his excellent customer service and highly recommend working with him!
I had a remarkably bad experience at Ashley. When I entered the store I was not assisted and wandered for ~20 minutes before I was helped. When I was assisted, the salesperson was incredibly condescending and used very high pressure sales tactics. Aggressively discredited other furniture stores when I mentioned I wanted to take some time to decide. I was given an offhand comment of "I don't know what kind of place ~you're~ living in if this doesn't work for your space" when I mentioned I need to go home to measure my apartment before deciding to buy. As a young person, I did not feel respected nor taken seriously, even when everything was completely within my budget. Would not take no for an answer. I asked multiple times to remove the furniture protection plan from my quote and was disregarded every time. After making my final decision to decline to buy, the salesperson blew up my phone with messages and texts. Overall a very bad experience, which is a shame because otherwise I would have paid.
Dealt with Trevor at the Coquitlam location. He was very helpful and answered all our questions. We got a great price on our occasional table set and a sooner than expected delivery. Would definitely recommend Ashley HomeStore and Trevor for your furniture needs.
I went in to buy 2 chairs for my living room. The sales associate was very nice and knowledgeable of all the products. When it came time to purchase she offered me to apply for a store credit in which i did not want. I thought it was s bit pushy by saying your going to save 100.00 so i agreed. As soon as i did the online application form she informed me it was going to be a 35$ to apply after i pressed send. She also informed me after that it would cost me 35.00 per year to have this so I put a stop to it. After that that she was trying to get me to buy a new bed to save $50. Told her i did not need one. Bit pushy on trying to sell a extended warranty as well. I hsd to call the credit department to make sure the credit app was cancelled which was annoying as well.
Beautifully displayed and so very easy to meander through. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful sales staff. Helpful and cooperative management. A wonderful experience, thank you so very much Matt.
Bal was great - so nice and helpful. I really appreciated her!
I experienced shady and misleading sales tactics. When purchasing a couch, I was explicitly told the delivery date after my salesperson checked the available delivery day. My roommate and I both took half a day off work to ensure we would be home for the delivery. On the day, I called Ashley and the couch was "on schedule" and would arrive 2 weeks later. Upon many emails and calls to management to address the misleading information, I went into the store. The supervisor on Sept 10 told me that I "should be be grateful for only waiting for 2 weeks and that other customers have waited a year for their couch." I have never experienced the attitude or treatment from a saleperson and supervisor. For the prices of the furniture, the customer service is very disappointing.
Sale staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. We were looking for a counter height bench to match our existing Ashley dining room set. We were able to pick up the bench on the same day at the warehouse in Surrey. We would do business here again.
