We purchased a lift chair for my 78yr old mom and decided on one of the Ashley versions. We went into the store and was helped by the sales person. We decided on one that was not in store but on thier site. When we discussed tge warranty options we were both quoted verbally and in writing that it would cost 65$ for the protection plan. We left the store to look at other options... When we decided to proceed with the Ashley chair, we returned and went to double check everything we were told and quoted. When we went on the big screen in the store with the sales person again, we noticed the cost of the warranty listed there was 299.99.. we asked what's the difference between what we were quoted vs that? The sales person said "nothing is different but let me look again in my system... " he looked and confirmed that it was showing 65$ for the warranty in his system. He then said " I'm not going to question that its a great deal for you!"... so we purchased it for exactly what was quoted... We left feeling good... we get a phone call from the sales person about 30 minutes later indicating that the sale was audited and that we had to pay more for the warranty now... 300$ more... so the online site had the price listed at 299... but we are to pay 360+... anyone else seeing a pattern here? So when we pressed the sales person on this fact and that we had paid for it as it was sold to us, the sales person got rude and basically didnt want to talk about it. So we asked for the manager. The manager came on and basically said that we had to pay that price no discussion or concern, was very rude and very condescending... so he returned it all. When dealing with Ashley in red deer... Buyer be ware... even if they quote you in writing and even if you BUY IT and leave the store they can and will change the price.... Would recommend many other stores than this one.

Bought a lift chair for my mother in law. Our salesman showed me a couple of options. The extended warranty said $260ish (cant remember the exact amount) but was showing $65 on his screen. Confirmed with him that it was the $65. Our salesman said as long as it goes through at the $65, that's what it is. I told him if it were going to be more than the $65, we would just go back to Lazy boy. It went through at the $65. My husband and I left. We got a call about a half an hour later from Tyler telling us that it actually got audited and was just under $400. I told him that's not ok and we aren't paying that on an $1100 chair. I reminded him that he told me once everything went through and was approved, it was done, so it's not OK to come back to me now for more money. He said there's nothing he can do. I asked for the manager. I told the manager this wasn't OK, that if the mistake is on their end, they need to take care of it. He got very rude and said he was just going to refund our entire purchase. I said that's fine. We're more than happy to go back to Lazy Boy. I used to be an avid Ashley fan, but over the last several years the quality and service are no better than the Brick. As much as I dislike the Brick, I'll shop there before Ashley.

Found a great chair for my reading nook, and it was a reasonable price. As far as full blown furniture stores go it’s pretty good. Brendan was great and answered all of my questions!
