This must be the worst store I have ever dealt with! We bought [ for us] a very expensive living room set, love seat/recliner, we even paid nearly $500 for a warranty! Our issues mirror other folks complaints, motor quit on one side of the love seat, trying to explain our problem was like pulling teeth, in 4.5 months they sent us everything BUT what was broken, I called them and e-mailed them at least once a week, they "promised" each time that "this" time it would be sorted. One of the problems I had that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later is the poor English of their telephone answering service, it was very frustrating not being understood, particularly after the first 3 months. We eventually accepted their offer of a "store credit" for the total bill, but NOT a refund of our unused warranty. In a nutshell, their customer service is terrible, how on earth they stay in business is beyond me. As a point of interest they are American owned, in todays climate buying 'local' makes more sense than ever.
Recently purchased a dining set from Ashley’s. The staff in the store were very pleasant and easy to deal with, but there hands are tied when there are any issues with the furniture! The delivery guys were amazing from the time they first delivered the table, set it up and tidied up before they left, until the time a new table was reordered and finally delivered. They were very professional, set up the table and cleaned up afterward. Trying to speak with a person in head office was virtually impossible. We had an issue with our table when it arrived, there was a defect along both ends and on the top where the table separated for the leaf, and we had to send the table for repair. Fast forward 2-3 weeks and table was ready for return. Delivery guys, refused to bring it back because the repair wasn’t done properly. Finally a new table was ordered and delivered 9 weeks after initial purchase. Had to call head office several times to get updates on the table and to inquire about any compensation for the long wait. Finally, a couple days after the table arrived we were compensated for the shipping cost for the long wait with no table.
