I was going to buy a sectional, but the pushy salesman made me go elsewhere

Have bought from Ashley’s in the past and had good to okay experience. But not this last purchase. Order a bed with CV and was told three weeks to get here. Been just about two months and still no bed… when buys a bed he kept on saying he was giving us the best price to date. Went online and saw it was cheaper so I called him and he said there’s no way he checked and it was so we had to make a special trip into town just to get it all figured out. Felt very pushed to buy the bed that day as well. If it wasn’t for gift cards to the store I wouldnt be going back. I have called asking for an update and they said they can’t find my order. Lots of red flags from that sales person.

I wanted to buy a couch. Went in around noon wife was at work had a look around found a couch I like sales guy seemed ok. Told the sales guy I wanted to come back with the wife before I make a purchase. No problems seemed like it was a done deal had a price kinda figured out…. Come back later on that day and with in the first 3 minutes of conversation he brought up tariffs and how the price can’t change but there’s are built into the cost, then went on to say everyone has tariffs . Regardless it felt very greasy and not professional on how he went about conducting the deal, he lacked actual knowledge on how tariffs and trade work. We ended up walking from the deal as we felt he was not forthcoming and using predatory tactics to try and over inflated the price or to Negate moving on price. Had he been honest and upfront and not tried to pull a fast one he would have closed the deal. My advice to him would be to get educated on how tariffs and trade works and do use it as a scare tactic to try gain leverage on a deal

Ordered 2 recliners on January 7, shipment delayed 3 times, finally arrived March 15.. Had to return one recliner as right side arm/support was detached from frame , as was support board was cracked. Still waiting for results as to what is happening. Mean while I'm enjoying second recliner.
