When purchasing the sectional we had a great experience with Rajbir, she gave a discount to make the warranty more attractive and took $150.00 off the purchase price. The following day I noticed that the sectional was cheaper if we ordered it from a couple different websites. I sent the email to Rajbir and waited the day for her to respond before calling into the store. When I called into the store the employee stated that their price adjustment policy only covers businesses that are physically located within a 110 km radius from the location that you bought. I asked if I could speak with a manager because I can understand not price matching a store in Ontario (the furniture depot had it for 1600.00 with 300$ shipping to Alberta) but I was wondering if they could price match the Calgary location (Canvas and Loft had it priced at 1800.00) since it is in the same province and they have an Ashley store in Calgary. It was recommended that I purchase the secrional down in Calgary. So my husband and I called a location down in Calgary and the employee thought it was ridiculous and forwarded us to leave a message with the manager. The following day we decided since we still hadn't heard anything back we should go into the store and talk with a manager. The manager let me know he would do the price match for Calgary, and let me know the employee who sold me the sectional was off which was why she hadn't replied to my email. The manager let me know that the price difference is based on the price that I purchased the sectional at, which would include the 150$ discount that we got for the warranty. When I explained he why we had the 150$ for the warranty but we paid 2000$ for the sectional so technically I should be getting 250$ for the 125% price guarantee. He said he cant do that, he eventually agreed to give me a 100$ refund when he originally was only going to do 50$. I dont think I should have to remind managers that their price guarantee is 125% but also if a price is decreased for warranty there should be a note if an employee is out of office and an out of office notification on emails would also be nice. But it has been almost a week and I havent been contacted back regarding the fact that I did get a warranty discount and should be receiving the full 250$ refund for the price difference. Just know that you should confirm that you cant find the product cheaper somewhere else before you purchase because trying to get things adjusted afterwards is a lot more stress. And if you dont physically drive into. Store good luck getting responses.
Called in and met with Aaron about a sofa love seat pair. He handled everything very professionally and worked me a deal I was happy with. I would recommend anyone coming to Ashley Furniture to ask for Aaron because you will leave happy with the service you get.
