Great service. Very pleased with my purchase

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the experience my family had with Ashley HomeStore was so disappointing that I feel other customers deserve to know what happened. On July 13, 2026, we ordered a three-seat sofa from Ashley and paid the full amount in cash on the same day. At the time of purchase, we were told that our sofa would be delivered on August 4, 2026. In the days leading up to the delivery, Ashley sent us three separate confirmation messages, asking us to confirm that we would be available to receive the delivery on August 4. We confirmed all three messages and planned our work and family schedule around that date because we trusted the information Ashley provided. I took the day off work so I could stay home to receive the delivery. We had also invited friends to visit our home on August 5, expecting that after waiting nearly a month, our living room would finally be complete. However, on the morning of August 4, the very day the sofa was supposed to be delivered, Ashley called and informed us that our order had been delayed and would now arrive after August 14. Notice the wording: after August 14—not on August 14. There was no specific delivery date and no guarantee that the sofa would actually arrive even after that date. After waiting almost a month and receiving three delivery confirmations, we simply could not continue trusting another estimated delivery date. If a delivery that had been confirmed three separate times could be cancelled on the morning it was supposed to arrive, what guarantee did we have that the same thing would not happen again? Because of that uncertainty, we had no choice but to cancel our order. The inconvenience did not end there. Ashley had already held our money for almost one month. After we were forced to cancel the order, we were told that it would take 3 to 5 business days for our refund to be processed and returned to our credit card. This meant that even after cancelling the order, we could not immediately purchase a sofa elsewhere with our own money. Instead, we had to wait several more days for the refund before we could start over. As shown in the attached photos, we had already purchased two accent chairs from Walmart specifically because they matched the Ashley sofa we had ordered. We planned our living room around that sofa. Now, because we were forced to cancel the order, we also have to return those chairs because they will no longer match whichever sofa we purchase from another store. This experience cost us far more than just time. We had to change our work schedule, cancel our plans, live without a sofa for nearly a month, return furniture we had already purchased to match the Ashley sofa, and then wait even longer for our own money to be refunded before we could buy a replacement. I understand that manufacturing or shipping delays can happen. However, confirming a delivery date three times, having the customer plan around that commitment, and then cancelling the delivery on the very day it was supposed to happen—without even providing a guaranteed replacement date—is simply not the level of service I expected from a company of Ashley’s size and reputation. Unfortunately, this has been one of the most disappointing shopping experiences my family has ever had. Update: Ashley replied to my review and asked me to call or text them so they could resolve my issue. I did exactly that. I called the number they provided multiple times and sent a text message, but no one answered the phone and no one replied to my message. It’s disappointing to publicly claim you want to help customers, but when they actually contact you, no one is available to respond.

Raj was very helpful and patient with us while we made decisions about our new furniture. She was able to provide us with certain delivery options with no hassles. We were appreciative of the staff not pressuring us to make a purchase and to have a stress free experience.

Had a great experience at Ashley Furniture today. We were looking for a sectional for the kids. Raj was great at helping us, answering our questions but not being pushy. Found a great modular setup that will work perfect for their space at a decent price. We also ended up finding a beautiful table and chairs and side board unit for ourselves. Nice clean store and good people. Highly recommend.
