Overbearing and Unprofessional Experience We recently visited Ashley Furniture South Edmonton to furnish our new home — couches, bedroom sets, living room furniture, mattresses, the works. While we were initially greeted by Vinny, who seemed pleasant at first, the experience quickly became uncomfortable. He said he would stay within eyesight if we needed anything, but instead, he was constantly hovering - to the point where my husband felt so overwhelmed, he left the store. Eye sight and breathing spaces are two different things. We simply wanted to get measurements to ensure a bedroom set would fit, but the pressure was nonstop. I made the mistake of giving Vinny my contact information, and since then, it's been daily emails, daily phone calls, and even texts — blocking one number only for him to call from another. This level of persistence isn’t professional — it’s invasive. We ended up purchasing from another store where the salesperson respected our space, understood our needs, and provided excellent service — and we happily spent over $23,000. Ashley Furniture may have quality products, but aggressive sales tactics like this are a big red flag.

We were fortunate dealing with Vicki at the South Common Store. We initially decided to buy 6 dining chairs with the dining table however shortly decided that we simply wanted the table. We advised Vicki within half an hour of that decision. We were allowed to do just that with no argument. Greatly appreciated. And, it encourages us to wish to purchase in the future.

Excellent service. Exceptional service from ordering in store at Edmonton South store with Vineet, to final delivery. The first sofa i ordered could not fit the entrance of my apartment. The return and exchange process was seamless. I felt sorry for the delivery staff but grateful to them for making the extra effort and being professional all through the process.

I recently purchased furniture worth $6000 from southcommon store, and unfortunately, my delivery experience was far from pleasant. The delivery team arrived with a noticeable attitude problem, which immediately set a negative tone. Instead of providing a courteous and efficient service, they seemed angry and frustrated, which made the entire experience uncomfortable. I understand that things can get stressful, but customer service should always be a priority, and this delivery team made me feel disrespected and unwelcome.

The sales rep was courteous and helpful with many suggestions to satisfy my needs. The store is beautifuly laid out with a variety of product and prices to suit. The young men who delivered my furniture were friendly and courteous. They were respectful and had my furniture put together quickly and properly.
