While Willa in the store was phenomenal, and we left purchasing a gorgeous sectional and a new bed for our son, we are left very disappointed and frustrated. Upon delivery, two delivery men were carrying the headboard up the stairs, dropping it on the stairs, screws went flying all over and there was a chip left on the corner front of the headboard. There is absolutely no way that upon installation, they did not see the damage done to the headboard. There are also supposed to be LED lights and a remote in the headboard, we were not given the remote or assembly instructions for that matter! Our couch came with two console side tables. One of the tables underneath the fabric has a big crack in the frame, causing it to have a large bump underneath, whereas the other table is smooth to the touch. I reached out within an hour of delivery and put in a Repair/replacement claim. Everything was sent in and I received notification that everything was supposed to be re-ordered and repaired. A month later after not receiving the headboard I contacted them again and was told that they did not have any documentation of the broken headboard. I pulled up the email saying Exactly what was wrong with the headboard. She then had to put in yet another claim for the headboard and sending someone out to see if they can repair the chip. The headboard absolutely cannot be repaired, it must be replaced. We spent several thousand dollars on this furniture to be left with damage. we made this purchase before Christmas and still do not have everything set up due to these issues. Ashley furniture will not have our business moving forward.
Just purchased new living room furniture at the South Common location. Had the privilege of working with Moonika and Cody on the purchase. They were extremely helpful and gave us a great price. I look forward to the delivery of our new furniture in April!
This was honestly one of the worst delivery experiences I’ve had. I ordered online and my delivery was delayed and rescheduled multiple times. When it was finally scheduled, I was told that standard delivery meant curbside drop-off only. I couldn’t accept that because I had no one to bring the furniture inside. Instead of being helpful, the delivery manager was rude and dismissive—pretty shocking considering I’m the paying customer. I ended up upgrading to white-glove delivery and paid an extra $70 on top of what I’d already spent. I was also clearly promised that my old furniture would be taken away. When the drivers arrived, they refused to take the old furniture, saying they didn’t have space. I had to call customer service yet again to get that rescheduled. It somehow got worse. The furniture arrived already fully assembled from the store and was barely protected—just wrapped in shrink wrap. The drivers removed the wrap before bringing it inside and then struggled to force the oversized furniture through the door. In the process, they scratched and damaged it. Now I’m left wondering if this was even a brand-new item or a store display. I paid close to $200 extra specifically just to have the furniture brought inside, assembled, handled properly, yet it arrived damaged due to careless delivery. The delivery service was unprofessional, disorganized, and careless from start to finish. Completely unacceptable.
