My Fiancé and I recently spent a large amount of money on furniture for our new house. Previously, we have had good experiences at other Ashley stores. In store, the salesman was good, however, misinformed us that we had a 30 day satisfactory guarantee and can return things if we are not happy. Delivery day comes around, they brought us an incorrect part so they were unable to set up the base of our bed, part of the dining set they did deliver arrived damaged, as well as scuffed our dining room walls delivering/building it. The delivery drivers took photos of the damaged chair and submitted it for a claim to replace them and told us the rest of the furniture/parts would be delivered in the next 3 days. Nothing else ended up getting delivered. After talking to the customer service number, they said that the delivery drivers did not submit a claim for damage upon delivery, and we only had 48 hours to call and submit a claim. Because of this, they would not refund or replace the damaged furniture, but would only send a tech to repair it. If we did choose to refund things, they would only refund 90% of the price and the rest we would get in store credit and we'd have to pay for them to pick up/drop off the new items. Not to mention, the rest of the stuff that they didn't deliver is now scheduled to show up a month after the original delivery date.. Overall, very poor customer service, poor delivery, and misinformation while buying furniture in person. Will be shopping elsewhere in the future. Edited: Rose from Ashley reached out to us and ended up scheduling an exchange of our damaged chair and refunding our delivery fee and asked us to update our review to 3*. It would have been nice if Ashley's policy was to resolve the situation with us before we felt the need to post a review. Anyways, Rose did help make amends so we appreciate that. Edited again: When the delivery for the base of our bed came, the delivery driver came to the door and said the other delivery guy is scared of dogs and asked me to lock my dog in another room. My dog is very friendly and has huge separation anxiety, so he would have been barking and crying and scratching the door. I said no as he is friendly and I'm not going to scare my dog because someone coming into my home is uncomfortable. He asked if I wanted to reschedule the delivery and I said no, I wanted it done. He asked if I could leave him outside, which I tried, and he started barking and crying and scratching the door because he doesn't like being by himself, so I let him in. The driver asked if I could sit in another room with him. So in order to get my furniture delivered, I had to sit in a room while 2 strangers entered my home, to make them comfortable. Why hire delivery people who have to go into people's homes if they aren't comfortable around pets?

I'm totally disappointed with Ashley Furniture and the "sales" person Sonom 6 months ago We were promised a mattress cover with our bed purchase. We still haven't received it and have received a total Run Around from Ashley Furniture and the"sales" person Sonom. Hopefully this is an isolated thing and that Ashley doesn't treat all of their customers the same way. I'm now receiving messages from the sales person Sonom requisting that I sponsor her in some third world event
