experience was great.. sales rep was knowledgeable.. good up-selleng style.. good retention.. good ex deals.. delivery was good.. quality of furniture not yet sure.. but we get what we want.. when we got home, measrements where wrong, we ask for modifications on the order, the reps were helpful, change without incident.. all good.. if you go there, look for the filipino guy, forgot his name, but he is willing to help all out..

Since our recent move, we've purchased all our new furniture from Ashley Furniture (88 Heritage Gate Calgary, AB). What really sold us on our first visit was the professionalism and interpersonal skills displayed by James, or first sales rep we met there. James really listened to our needs and took the time to identify just the pieces they had that would work, instead of wasting our time showing us everything in the store. We purchased a number of items that day, along with the White Glove delivery service which was quick and professional. The boys that delivered took great care in our home not to damage any walls or leave a mess. They ensured everything was to our liking before they left. We've been back since and purchased a second batch of stuff, which was all just delivered this morning. Different delivery boys, but the same care and concern with the delivery, and friendly demeanor ensuring we were completely happy before they left. Ashley uses text and email to co-ordinate your delivery times with you and then confirm, and advise when your driver will be there, etc. It's a very slick system, which perhaps over compensates on communication to ensure everyone is on the same page, but is still excellent. I should note James was not working when we bought this stuff so Padam (and the very helpful store manager, who I wish I remembered her name because she was also truly excellent!) helped us out. He was able to quickly bring up our other order, even our financing, because we tacked this onto the same great No Interest, No Payments for 24 month deal they gave us, which is managed by Fairstone. What truly impressed me was that Padam did a LOT of work for us and then threw James' name on the order anyway. Great character! Note that the financing with Fairstone was super easy, just a few questions when we placed the order. We were approved in about 15 minutes, and since, they have sent us emails to ensure we have good access to our account and statements and all that. It's as easy as online banking! We ended up returning one piece we didn't like, no hassle, no problem. There was also an issue where the wrong piece was delivered, but the guys took it back with them and delivery was arranged for the right piece very quickly. There are always things that happen, but how the company responds in those situations is everything. Really, to a person, over 2 store visits and three delivery times, our experience at the Heritage Ashley HomeStore was absolutely 5 stars. Highly recommend!

It was a good experience, thanks to Prince and Jerry. We had visited a few places before going to Ashley and we did not have any better services. Immediately we entered the Ashley, Jerry welcomed us nicely and I couldn't have left the store with no purchase. They made our choices in the store easier as they were there to answer all our questions. Kudos Jerry and Prince. Will recommend Ashley anytime.

Edit: updating this to 3 stars after speaking with Rose and she kindly helped me out. I had two awful experiences at this Ashley location, I came in with a friend to look at a couch on a weekday and we were immediately greeted by James who made some rather misogynistic and ill-informed comments. He followed us around the store even though we made it clear we were just looking. That being said, when I had some questions he did answer them quickly although I did not want to work with him based on his initial comments. I went back a second time, this time with my mother and James again greeted us with misogynistic comments this time. It was horrible and when I explained to my mom that this is the same man that I told her about previously, she told him in no uncertain terms to leave us alone. It was very unpleasant experience and I actually decided to not buy my couch from that store based on it. I did go to another Ashley location and had a much, much better experience. I was encouraged by the general manager at that location to let the general manager at the heritage location "Troy" know about my experience. When I called today to try and speak with Troy I was rudely told that Troy is "on the floor and is unable to take a phone call" which I think is extremely strange as he is supposedly the general manager. I was also told that I should come to the store and make this complaint in person which I found extremely disrespectful as I'd already been there twice this week with bad experiences each time. I left my phone number, and my name and requested a call back, I was told he would call me at 6:00 p.m., no call has come through. I would recommend any other Ashley furniture home store then this one, the attitudes are poor and for people that are working on commission you would expect better.
