Excellent experience with Dhaval at Ashley Furniture Beddington. Definitely will return.

I’ve never written a negative Google review before, but I feel compelled to share my experience in hopes that Ashley Furniture will take this as an opportunity to improve their customer service. I recently spent over $8,000 on several furniture pieces at the Ashley HomeStore in Brentwood Village Mall (Calgary)—most of which weren’t available in-store. We were reassured at the time of purchase that returns would be possible if any item didn’t work out. Just three business days later, I contacted Ashley to arrange a return for a single stool (valued at $280). Unfortunately, I was met with rudeness and a robotic repetition of the “48-hour return policy,” despite explaining that I had been out of town unexpectedly. There was no flexibility or willingness to consider the context. I then reached out to the original salesperson who had told me returns would be possible. Over the next month, I followed up weekly as the issue was escalated to a regional manager. Despite proposing a compromise (return for store credit), the final decision was a flat-out no. This has been extremely disappointing—not because of the dollar amount, but because of the lack of basic customer service and common sense. I expected more from a company of Ashley’s size and reputation. I hope someone at Ashley sees this and recognizes the value of long-term customer relationships as I have much more to purchase for my home and rental property however my future choices at this time are pretty clear.

Great shopping experience!

The employee addressed all my concerns by phone regarding the warehouse and picking up my mirror, and also kept us up to date with status of our couch and helping to set a future date for pickup when timing is right (e.g., within 21 days). I appreciated their quick and easy follow up process over the phone and not waiting hours for help!

Our salesman Dhaval P. at the Calgary Brentwood location was very patient and gave us all the information we needed in choosing a recliner to meet our needs. The manager, Matthew, also helped us. We did not feel pressured and took our time deciding. Overall, a very good shopping experience. Now we await the delivery of the item. Thank you, Dhaval. The delivery process was as promised; the 3rd party movers arrived on time, were friendly and polite, and set up the chair. Everything appears to be fine.
